Cynthia J. Brown : Attorney (Of Counsel)
Prior to founding the Brown Law Offices, Cynthia clerked for Timothy R. Bloomquist, Chief Judge of Minnesota’s Tenth Judicial District. She also practiced with the Clark A. Joslin firm in Cambridge, Minnesota. Cynthia is the former prosecutor for the cities of Isanti and Braham, Minnesota. Over the last 14 years, Cynthia has successfully represented hundreds of clients in family court, throughout Minnesota, in divorce, paternity, domestic abuse and adoption cases. While she has been able to resolve most issues through settlement discussions, she has also taken many cases to trial. She takes a simple, no-nonsense approach to handling divorce and family cases.
Cynthia graduated with honors from the University of South Dakota and received her Juris Doctorate from the William Mitchell College of Law. During law school, Cynthia worked as a criminal investigator with the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office and handled divorce work for prison inmates through the Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners program.
Cynthia founded the Amigos de Guatemala Foundation in 2007. She presently serves as a Board Member and President of the Foundation, which provides educational, health and financial resources to underprivileged Guatemalan citizens. Her interest in serving the impoverished began with a medical mission trip to Honduras in 1994.
