Mother’s Day holiday: When does it begin and end?

In the pantheon of holidays, you don’t miss, Mother’s Day is near the top, right up there with Christmas, Thanksgiving, and the Fourth of July. Mother’s Day (like Father’s Day) is even more special in divorce. It represents a constant in your child’s life — a day he or she always spends with mom.

Mother’s Day is almost upon us (May), so it’s time to prepare.

Here is the holiday schedule from Utah Code, Section 30-3-35(2)(j):

“Mother’s Day shall be spent with the natural or adoptive mother every year beginning at 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. on the holiday.”

Pretty straightforward. Have a great holiday.
