Martin Luther King Day Visitation: When Does it Begin and End?
Martin Luther King Day is one of those sometimes forgotten holidays. It sneaks up on you because it’s tucked in right after Christmas and before President’s Day and Valentines.
However, if you’re a parent in Utah, you know Martin Luther Kind Day because it’s part of your holiday parent-time. In fact, it’s one of those three-day weekend parent-time visitations.
Here is when Martin Luther King Day visitation begins and ends:
Martin Luther King, Jr. beginning 6 p.m. on Friday until Monday at 7 p.m. unless the holiday extends for a lengthier period of time to which the noncustodial parent is completely entitled.
Utah Code, Section 30-3-35(2)(f)(ii).
So, it’s 6 p.m. on Friday until Monday at 7 p.m. And while it could extend past Monday, I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a situation where it has.
Now, go have some fun for the weekend.
