New Technology for Virtual Parent-Time
Sorry, I haven’t blogged for a while. My wife and I went to Paris for our anniversary, and when you get out of the habit of something, it’s hard to get back in to the groove.
In any case, I found a new piece of technology I think can really help parents who have to Skype with their kids for parent-time. (The term we use in Utah legal circles for this is “virtual parent-time.” Laywers, always making stuff sound more complicated than it is.)
It’s called zoom. It’s sort of like Skype, but with higher quality audio and visual. It’s also free, which is great. And, the part I like best of all: you can record your zoom sessions. That’s right, you can record your virtual parent-time so you can enjoy the memories later. And if there’s ever a problem during virtual parent-time (e.g., your ex tells you to end the conversation after five minutes, when it should be thirty), you have a recording you can send to your attorney and use in court.
