Mediation — An Efficient, Cost-Effective Alternative to Litigation
At Brown Family Law, we strongly recommend that couples attend mediation as part of their divorce process or to resolve other family law matters. Our firm’s founder, Marco Brown, is a trained mediator and runs a mediation service in Salt Lake City. He can act as your mediation lawyer, advocating for you, or as a neutral mediator, working with you and your spouse to negotiate a settlement that is agreeable to both of you. Once a settlement is reached, our attorneys can draw up an agreement to be signed by both of you and submitted to the courts.
Mediation offers many advantages over the traditional process of divorce litigation. It is considerably faster, less expensive and less stressful on all involved. It gives both parties more control over the decisions that will affect their futures and it is private, meaning a mediation is not part of public record, like divorce proceedings.
